  • Body Mass Index (BMI) is calculated by a person’s body weight in kilograms divided by the square of height in meters.
  • Body Mass Index( BMI) Categories of bodyweight:

                   > Underweight = <18.5 kg/m2

                    > Normal weight = 18.5–24.9 kg/m2

                    > Overweight = 25–29.9 kg/m2

                    > Obesity = BMI of 30 kg/m2 or greater
